One of the things that everyone was doing last year was going on long walks. Our guides to the Beachy Head walk in Eastbourne, the Epping Forest Oak Trail walk in London, the Mam Tor walk in the Peak District and the Pendle Hill walk in the Ribble Valley were among our most popular blog posts last year.

As you can imagine, there are loads of Epping Forest walks to choose from. However, the Oak Trail walk is approximately a 10.2 km circular trail, so it’s not like you’re walking around the whole forest. There are lots of things to do in and around Portmeirion, from delving into the depths of the earth visiting old slate mines, to taking a ride through the forest on a steam powered locomotive. We’ve got a lot of favourite walks near London, including the Henley circular walk, the Chorleywood circular walk (very close to this one!), the Amersham circular walk and the Ivinghoe Beacon walk. Explore this fiery interpretation of stars and spheres, flora and fantasy between 11 February and 6 March to a soundscape that will inspire and intrigue.

After the success of our walking guides to Beachy Head, Epping Forest, Pendle Hill and the Chess Valley walk, we decided it was time to plot out another great route so that you can follow in our footsteps. The church was built in 1859 and it’s surprisingly big for the surrounding parish. Whether you’re religious or not, you have to admit the church spire is a beautiful piece of architecture. Also, while the mountain is fame for its high peak, Snowdonia National Park is large, with lots of other beautiful spots to explore, including more than 100 lakes. Live A Colourful Life In Portmeiron Once you come to a pond, cross the road, and keep on walking for about 5/10 minutes until you come to a folk – take the right fork. This will take you down a steep hill in enclosed woodland. Keep on following the path This is just past the right fork As it’s near junction 9 of the M25, it’s very easy getting here. It’s only 27 miles from London, so it’ll take you around an hour to drive.Various palaces and royal residences have sat on the banks of the River Thames since at least the 11th century, but the current Houses of Parliament are a sight to behold. For inspiration, we’d recommend reading our guide to the ultimate 10-day England itinerary. From the buzzy cities of London and Brighton, to the Cornwall coast and the stunning beauty of the Lake District, this route shows you the best of England.
