Now that you have sufficiently boiled and stirred your J-Lube to the point that it is smooth and uniformly mixed let it cool for a little while (not too long though, you want it to still be hot) and then add the one fluid ounce of General Lubricant. Stir this in thoroughly. The General Lubricant adds body and durability to the J-Lube; it also adds a small amount of preservative and seems to make it easier to clean as well. After adding and fully mixing in set the entire thing aside and allow it to cool to the point where you can safely handle it. J-lube is easy to use, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Apply a small amount of J-lube to the desired area and reapply as needed. If you’re using it with a partner or with toys, be sure to communicate and reapply as necessary. Precautions to take when using J-lube

Another choice is to use strong, clean alcohol of some kind. Alcohols aren’t the best when it comes to sterilization, but it’s certainly better than nothing. My new favourite sanitizer is a product called Steramine (also available from Nasco) which, when used as directed, even kills the HIV-1 virus. However, keep in mind that I am not a doctor, so you need to find what you feel safest doing and go with that. Virgin coconut oil contains anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties. As people generally like the smell and taste of coconut, it could be a suitable lube alternative. Although there is no scientific research that examines its use as a lubricant, yogurt has proven therapeutic properties for treating vaginal thrush. Olive oilWe love that it comes in a bunch of flavors–from cherry vanilla to pina colada to cater to a variety of taste preferences. It’s sugar-free, but it does contain aspartame. There’s some mixed messaging around the safety of aspartame for internal use, so you may be best off using this exclusively for oral or non-penetrative sex. Yes, J-lube can be used for anal play, but it’s important to use it in moderation and communicate with your partner to ensure their comfort and safety. J lube and pregnancy The key things to this recipe are patient waiting for the J-lube to hydrate, the boiling, and the addition of a jelly-style lubricant. I haven't tried J-lube without adding a jelly-style one, so maybe I'm full of shit. Nothing new there. Color me hopelessly unimaginative One suggestion I received from a faithful J-Lube fan was to use just a pinch of unsweetened powdered drink mix to add flavour, colour, and scent to your J-Lube. I haven’t tested it myself, but it sounds like it should work well. The key is to avoid the mixes with the sweetener already added to them, as having added sugar in your lube is mostly just an invitation to bacterial growth. One study, which looked at intercourse between males, suggests that those who use saliva as a lubricant could spread gonorrhea. An older study also highlights saliva in oral sex might cause vaginal yeast infections. Baby oil
