Hundreds of bikers adorned in festive clothes and decorated bikes travel in a convoy on the yearly ride. This year's event takes place on Sunday, December 3, and will see Christmas motorcyclists travel from Reading to Wokingham in aid of Barnardo’s High Close School and other children's charities.

A statement added: "The organisers want to thank motorists for their patience and apologise for delays that might be experienced from 2pm to 3.30pm, because roads will be closed on the route as the bikes come through." The Reading Toy Run will return to the roads of Berkshire this Christmas. The long-running charity event will lead to a number of temporary road closures as a result. The riders will deliver toys to children who otherwise may not have received a Christmas present. The popular ride often attracts more than a thousand riders and many spectators leading to several road closures in response.
